Artic recovery in narrow lane
A new customer called us regarding one of their fully loaded artic tankers which had slid from a narrow farm track and rolled onto its side in a ditch.
We initially dispatched an incident manager to the scene to meet with the customer’s Transport Manager. The decision was taken to empty the load from the vehicle in order to prevent any further damage. The customer made arrangements for this to be transferred into another tanker.
We subsequently dispatched the DAF XF and Foden to the scene and by positioning a recovery vehicle at either end of the casualty vehicle, we lifted and rolled the vehicle back onto the farm track causing no further damage to either the vehicle or surroundings.
The vehicle was then recovered back to the customer’s own depot as requested.
